The Principal's Office

The door to the principal’s office is open at all hours, although you will only find Hester at the receptionist’s desk from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. This is primarily where you can have private conversations with her. Though there’s an actual office in the back, it is always closed and locked.

[He beams at her with childlike excitement.]

[Surely not!

She blinks a few times, like she's trying to process exactly what he means before she purses her lips in a slightly mischievous smile.] Give me a second and let me try something-

[She pops open her laptop again, quickly clicking off whatever screen she was on before but Spongebob might catch a quick glimpse of this guy with...some kind of text box at the bottom of the screen. She quickly types something into a new window then closes the laptop again.]

Now we wait just a minute to see what happens.

Oh thank you so much Hester! I just can't wait to show everyone what I really look like!

[He pauses for a second. He's stupid but he's not that unobservant.]

So while we're waiting, watcha looking at?

[On the computer, obviously.]

N...othing. I wasn't looking at anything, I don't know what you're talking about. What's a computer? [Said as she discreetly tries to shove her laptop under a stack of empty manila folders.]

[He laughs his very iconic laugh.]

The one in front of you, silly! You weren't looking up anything embarrassing, were you?

[Spongebob seems a lot more amused than anything else.]

No! [She says it a little too quickly and her cheeks are just getting more pink.] It's...nothing. Just a game I play when it's just me in my office to pass the time.

[Never mind the fact the guy on the poster on the backwall of the office sure looks like the same guy. Total coincidence.]

[He notices he and he just

Gives her a very sly look.]

Oh I see.

It looks like someone has a crush!

I do not! [Yells the girl with the crush.] I just think he's extremely aesthetically pleasing in a non-threatening way and highly talented and I think it's an absolute travesty he hasn't won a Tony yet considering he's been consistently excellent in everything he's performed in for almost two decades!

But it's not a crush, that's just childish.

There's nothing wrong with having a crush or being childish! He is really handsome after all. If I'm not careful I could develop a crush on him too!

[He is half being coy and half being serious.]

[Oh, that coyness is going straight over her head because her eyes go wide.]

I mean, if you want to watch some things he's been in I have a couple of boot- oh right! It should be here now. [She pulls open one of the many drawers of her desk and pulls out a gift.] There we go!

[Well luckily the keyword is "half" because he is still excited to watch stuff this mysterious handsome guy is in.]

That would be wonderful! Maybe we can watch it together, like a movie night!!

[And then Hester pulls out the disc. Spongebob's eyes go wide before he suddenly goes to pull Hester into a hug]

Thank you so much Hester! You're the best!

[Hester goes very still when he hugs her, unsure of how to respond. Normally she's the hugger so being on the recieving end is a bit of a shock.]

I-I think I'd like that, Spongebob. You're welcome for the DVD.

[After a few moments of hesitation she returns the hug, squeezing him extra tight.]
